Veterans

Honouring the contributions of the ex-service community.

The Veterans Branch honours the contribution of the ex-service community and supports ex-service organisations to deliver programs for veterans and their families.

We provide advice and support to the Minister for Veterans in fulfilling their commitment to honour and remember Victoria’s ex-service men and women.

We provide coordinated whole-of-government support for the commemoration of veterans’ service, for responding to the welfare and other needs of the Victorian veteran community, and making sure the legacy of veterans’ service is understood and remembered.

We support the Victorian Veterans Council and the Shrine of Remembrance and deliver a range of welfare, commemorative and education projects, including the Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize and Learning Firsthand initiative. Our team also promotes improved community outcomes through the delivery of 4 grant programs and delivers initiatives to support veterans’ employment, health and wellbeing.
