We want our services to work for people who need and use them. We can always do better and we listen to people using our services, their advocates and representatives.
You don't have to be over 18 to make a complaint.
You can make a complaint anonymously.
Someone else can make a complaint on your behalf.
We want to know if:
- you feel a service is unsatisfactory
- you did not receive enough information or choice
- you were denied respect, dignity or privacy.
What you can't make a complaint about
The department's complaint system is not for making child protection reports or logging housing maintenance issues.
NDIS services provided by the department
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission regulates all NDIS services. This includes NDIS services offered by the department. Our services are:
- Specialist Disability Accommodation through Disability Homes Victoria
- Supported Independent Living through Forensic Disability Services.

Public housing maintenance
Contact the Housing Call Centre if your home needs responsive maintenance - repairs that are needed because of normal wear and tear, or damage caused by your household or visitors. You can contact them in three ways:
