Review of child protection privacy incidents and carer and client safety

An independent review of the way the Department of Health and Human Services handles private information, particularly in child protection was conducted by John Leatherland.

The purpose of the review was to examine the causes of incidents of this nature to identify any systemic issues that could be addressed. The review's focus was on child protection rather than the broader policy settings and procedures within the Department of Health and Human Services as a whole.

Note: The report is redacted for privacy reasons.

If you have any concerns for the safety of a child please go to the Reporting child abuse and neglect page on this website.
