Supporting more men’s sheds across Victoria

More Victorians will have supportive places to come together, work on common projects, and build lasting connections through the 2024-25 Men’s Shed Funding Program.
14 February 2025

In the latest funding round, 29 community organisations across Victoria will share in more than $879,000 to build or refurbish their local men’s shed.

The grants will support the construction of 7 new men’s sheds across the state and help upgrade 22 sheds, ensuring members have safe places to meet and learn new skills far into the future.

Funded projects include:

  • construction of a new men’s shed in Beaufort following the flooding of the group’s older facility
  • stage 2 works on a First Nations men’s shed in rural Victoria, including installation of accessible facilities
  • construction of a new men’s shed for young men in a small town.

Every year, the Victorian Government invests $1 million in the Men’s Shed Funding Program.

The program is an important way we’re strengthening Victoria’s thriving network of over 360 men’s sheds and improving men’s health and wellbeing across the state.
