Minister for Equality Harriet Shing today joined Switchboard CEO Joe Ball, drag performer Frock Hudson and a group of rainbow families on board a Switchboard branded tram.

As part of the Yarra Trams Community Partnerships Program, Switchboard Victoria’s branded tram focuses on connecting LGBTIQA+ communities and shares important messages of LGBTIQA+ inclusion along the busy 109 and 48 routes.

Switchboard is one of six community organisations taking part in the annual Yarra Trams program this year, with the colourful tram to continue running on Melbourne’s tram network until 23 July.

Switchboard Victoria plays a crucial role in supporting Victorian LGBTIQA+ communities aligning with the Victorian Government’s 10 year LGBTIQA+ strategy, Pride in our future 2022-2032 and are the proud delivery partner for the Government’s $4.5 million Pride in Ageing program.
