Nominations are now open for the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards.
For more than 30 years, these important awards have celebrated the contributions and achievements of older Victorians who share their skills, experiences, time, and energy with our community.
This year, the nominations process is more accessible than ever before. Nominations can now be submitted digitally through a brand-new platform, making it even easier to nominate a deserving Victorian.
The Victorian Senior of the Year Awards include six award categories:
- Premier’s Award for Victorian Senior of the Year
- Promotion of Multiculturalism Award
- Healthy and Active Living Award
- Veteran Community Award
- Ageing Well Award
- COTA (Council on the Ageing) Victoria Senior Achiever Awards.
People in Victoria who are 60 years or over, and First Nations people who are 50 years or over, are eligible to be nominated for these awards.
Every nominee will receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution, and awardees will be recognised at a special ceremony at Government House in October during the annual Victorian Seniors Festival.
Recognise an older Victorian in your life by nominating them for an award today. For more information please visit the Awards page on the Seniors Online website.
Nominations close on Sunday 11 August 2024.
