Men’s sheds are an important part of our communities, bringing people together and improving the mental and physical health of members.
They provide places for men to meet, make social connections and actively participate in their local communities.
The 2024-25 grant round will provide funding to build or improve men’s sheds across the state.
The program aims to increase the number of men’s shed participants, the variety of activities provided and better connect men’s sheds with their local communities.
Grants of up to $100,000 are available for:
- the construction of new men’s sheds, including converting an existing building into a men’s shed
- the refurbishment, extension or upgrade of existing men’s sheds
- the purchase of major shed equipment for use in men’s sheds, eligible for the first time in the 2024-25 funding round.
Applications from First Nations-led and multicultural groups are strongly encouraged.
This grant round is part of the Victorian Government’s Men’s Shed Funding Program. Every year, the Victorian Government invests $1 million into supporting Victorian men’s sheds.
Applications close at 11.59 pm on 16 October 2024.
