The Victorian Government is committed to strengthening Victoria’s multicultural media, recognising the critical role they play in amplifying diverse voices, fostering unity, and providing broad access to news and information.
Through the 2023-24 Multicultural Media Grants Program, grants ranging from $7,500 to $25,000 are available to support multicultural media outlets across Victoria to better serve their communities.
Funding can be used for production and publication costs, equipment, training and development to help safeguard their future.
Ensuring representation of the state’s diversity continues to thrive across print, broadcasting, radio, and digital media is an ongoing priority for the state.
Since 2014, the Victorian Government has invested over $2.8 million in supporting 70 multicultural media outlets throughout the state.
Applications for grants are now open, closing on Monday 29 January 2024.
To support organisations in their application, a community information session is being held on 18 January 2024. Register your attendance via EventBrite.
