The Victorian Government is delivering on its election commitments to support multicultural Victorians with funding for community infrastructure that celebrates history, culture, and tradition.
The flagship Multicultural Community Infrastructure Fund will offer grants of up to $400,000 to support the build, upgrade, or renovation of new or existing community facilities that provide a safe space for multicultural communities to connect and celebrate culture.
This year, there is dedicated funding for Victoria’s Chinese, Greek, Indian, Italian, Islamic and Lebanese communities. There is also up to $75,000 available to organisations can conduct research into establishing multicultural museums and cultural heritage centres, anywhere in Victoria.
Applications from organisations based in regional and rural areas or that support multicultural women, LGBTIQ Victorians, and new and emerging communities will be prioritised.
Since 2014, the Victorian Government has provided more than $52 million in funding to deliver 386 multicultural community infrastructure projects that have benefited thousands of Victorians.
Applications are open now, closing Wednesday 6 December 2023.
