Celebrating the achievements of Victorian Seniors

Congratulations to the 19 older Victorians who received a 2023 Victorian Senior of the Year Award
13 October 2023

The 2023 Victorian Senior of the Year Awards were presented at a special ceremony at Government House on Wednesday 11 October.

This awards ceremony is a highlight of the annual Victorian Seniors Festival, which is a month-long celebration featuring entertainment and events for seniors across the state.

Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC hosted the event, and was joined by Minister for Ageing, Ingrid Stitt MP to present the awards.

These dedicated older Victorians reflect the diversity of our state, and the awards honour their valuable contributions to Victorian life. Their contributions include hands-on support, like providing urgent material and food relief, to nurturing strong cultural connections, fundraising for vital causes and raising awareness about serious health conditions.

Congratulations to every person who was nominated!
