The Victorian Government will provide $1.1 million in funding to projects that educate, prevent, reduce and respond to family violence in Aboriginal communities across Victoria.
Projects selected for funding will support and address the priorities identified by the eleven Dhelk Dja Action Groups.
Projects must be Aboriginal led and work towards:
- Aligning with the Dhelk Dja Action Group goals and 10-year agreement
- Strengthening local capacity to address family violence
- Providing ongoing or long-term community benefits
- Complementing existing initiatives and fostering partnerships.
