2025 Victorian Honour Roll of women nominations now open

Recognise the outstanding achievements of exceptional women across Victoria by nominating someone today
3 February 2025

The Honour Roll celebrates women for their achievements across fields such as social justice, health, science, research, arts, environment, law, media and education.

The inductees come from all walks of life and from many different cultural backgrounds. They range in age and life stages. Some forged new paths for women today by challenging outdated ideas of what a woman can do. Others are young women redefining what leadership is for the future.

All are leading the way for those who follow.

Honouring Victorian women is one way of progressing gender equality in our state.

By recognising these women publicly, we are showing girls and women what they can be – because if you can see it, you can be it.

More than 750 women have been inducted since the Honour Roll of Women began in 2001.

And now it’s time to nominate for 2025 – someone, or yourself!

There are four categories:

  • Trailblazer - An inspiring role model leading the way for women in a traditionally male-dominated field.
  • Local Champion – An unsung hero whose voluntary or professional contributions to their community deserve wider recognition.
  • Change Agent - A woman who has made an enduring commitment to their field of expertise, interest or work that has brought about significant and lasting change.
  • Emerging Leader - A young woman redefining leadership in their chosen career, field or passion.

Nominations open on Monday 3 February and close on Sunday 16 March.

The Office for Women is supporting potential nominators with an online information session on Tuesday 11 February.
